Spring Has Sprung

April 5, 2017

Spring has sprung (at least for one day in Wisconsin) and statement sleeves are taking over.

Honestly, I thought this trend would be in and out, but it looks like it's here to stay and I ain’t mad about it.

Pleated, bell, fringe, flounce, ruffled…the options are endless. Although, the potential to do this trend wrong is very real. Case in point: sleeves that are TOO long (google it). It's kind of like Gretchen Wieners trying to make fetch happen.

Style gawds, if you’re out there, please don’t let excessive sleeves be a thing (prayer emoji).

But in all seriousness, I love that this trend has been reinvented. In the past, statement sleeves were mostly designated for boho looks. Now you can keep it simple for everyday wear, rock a bada$$ lady boss look at the office or go bold for a night out. Whatever your style is, let the top do the talking.

My fav? This fun, feminine and flowy look paired with solid denim. Shop the top here!
