Hello, Sunshine.

I think we can all agree that Wisconsin has been dreadful the last two months. Mother nature keeps teasing us with sporadic sunshine and warm-weather days then...SMACK, she hits us right in the face with a week of overcast weather.

When I got the opportunity to travel to Arizona for the weekend (aka shamelessly invited myself), I couldn’t get my bags packed quick enough.

Here are a few of my favorite looks from the trip. Don't forget to click the links to shop similar styles.

P.s. Yes, I basically wore my hair up the entire weekend. The beauty of the bun is real when it comes to 90° weather.

If you haven't heard the news, American Apparel is closing (sigh...not that I could afford most of their clothes anyway).

With that said, most stores are marking everything 50% off or more.

We stopped at the Scottsdale shop and I snagged this button-down denim skirt for 60% off!

Here is a similar look to the smocked, off-the shoulder floral top I'm wearing...definitely a must-have this season!

I kept it pretty casual for our walk around Phoenix's Roosevelt Row art district.

Rocked some high-waisted denim shorts that I made myself out of a Goodwill find (yes, I can get crafty if I want to) and layered the look with a tie-front cropped cardigan and lace bralette from Kohl's.

If you're in the mood to get thrifty, I highly recommend checking out local consignment shops, resale stores or Goodwill for high-waisted jeans to turn into shorts. Finding the perfect fit isn't always easy, but once you do, it'll be worth the search and your wallet will thank you.

I'm so, SO happy that one-piece swimsuits have made a comeback and this swimsuit from Victoria's Secret PINK definitely makes a splash (lol) when it comes to trending summer style.

I didn't buy mine that long ago, but it looks like the style has changed a bit. The updated style has thinner straps, but the cheeky bottoms are still the same.

Honestly, I love the updated style more than the one I bought (ha!), so lucky you if you buy it now! ; )

Hiking was a must while in AZ.

The photo below is from Tom's Thumb Trailhead in Scottsdale which, compared to Camelback the day before, was a breeze.

These shorts from Lululemon were my saving grace. Lightweight. Airy. No riding up. No chaffing.

It's pretty effing basic of me to recommend lulus for hiking, but I don't care. These shorts are worth the $$.

The pic below isn't ideal, but the romper is, so I'm sharing it anyway!

This floral print gem from Charlotte Russe isn't available online, but there are SO many other cute options. Check it out. It's worth the look considering they almost always have some sort of BOGO deal going on.

Side note: I have a long torso, so typically rompers look awkward on me and ride up in all the wrong places. I never buy them.

BUT, Charlotte Russe's romper sizing seems to give a better fit for tall(er) ladies like me and now I'm obsessed.

Thanks for reading! Share the love below!
