Happy Birthday, Colourpop!
Colourpop is celebrating their 3rd birthday, which means it’s the perfect opportunity for me to tell you all a little more about the products I love…
- lips -

Although the matte lip trend is starting to fade, Bumble Ultra Matte Lip will always be near and dear to my heart. It was one of the first shades I bought from Colourpop and it’s still a best seller today!
As promised, the Ultra Matte Lip colors are definitely long-wearing. For me personally, the color typically lasts throughout my workday and I only end up reapplying if I eat something greasy for lunch.
The only downside is that it might dry out your lips. If your lips tend to be on the dry side, I’d recommend using the Lippie Stix Primer or your favorite moisturizing chapstick before applying the lip color.
Tip: If you’re having a hard time getting the lip color off, rub petroleum jelly on your lips and remove with a tissue or eat greasy food (as mentioned above). It's the perfect excuse for a slice of pizza (wink!).
If you want the matte look without drying out your lips, try the Ultra Satin Lip! It has the same highly pigmented color as the Ultra Matte Lip, but gives added moisture for a more comfortable, satin-like finish. London Fog is my favorite pinky red for everyday wear.

Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadow is ideal for adding a touch of extra sparkle or highlighting the inner corners of your eyes.
My favorite, Amaze, is a crème formula in a peachy gold shade. The creamy blend keeps the color where you want it (helps avoid having glittery eye shadow all over your face) and offers a noticeable look without going overboard.
As of today, you can get three shadows for only $10!

- brows -
Both the Brow Pencil and the Brow Colour Powder are wins in my book! I use the powder daily with an angled brow brush and use the pencil for quick touch-ups.
Tip: Store the brow powder in your makeup bag and keep the pencil in your everyday purse for when you’re on-the-go.
If you prefer a more subtle brow, I’d recommend simply choosing whichever shade best complements your natural hair color. If you like the bold brow trend like I do, go one shade darker. I’m currently using the red head.

Colourpop’s highlighters and blushes do NOT get the attention they deserve. Instead of buying an over-priced contour palette, I’ve been using the Highly Waisted Super Shock Highlighter and Between The Sheets Blush with my bronzer.
Why is this duo so amazing? The blush is the perfect crème powder formula because it is NOT too creamy (sounds counterintuitive, I know). Let me explain…
I prefer to blend my crème blush after applying liquid foundation and pressed powder, which I know isn’t the norm, but I urge everyone to give it a try! That being said, most crème blushes tend to smudge or clump if applied after pressed powder, but this blush doesn’t! Instead, it offers a smooth matte finish. On top of that, the buildable color is perfect for creating a bolder look.
The highlighter's pearlized blend is sweet perfection. Again, it’s a crème powder without being too creamy. It’s lightweight and blends smoothly without clumping. Like the blush, I love that you can build the color for a more noticeable look.
If you don’t typically have to wear liquid foundation or pressed powder (lucky gal!), Colourpop’s blushes and highlighters are still the perfect pick for everyday wear. On the weekends I tend to wear the duo as a quick fix if I don’t have time to put my entire face on (ha!).
Phew! If you made it this far, thanks for reading! You’re the best.
