My Invisalign Journey: Done with My Treatment! (Includes Before and After Photos)
Before we dive in...friendly reminder that my followers get 10% OFF Invisalign through The Dentists on Bluemound if you mention my name or “jomariemke” when you book your FREE consultation! The 10% OFF is good through August 31st, 2022. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at jomariemke@gmail.com.
My Invisalign treatment is officially DONE and I’m soooo happy with the results! Sure, some days it wasn’t the most convenient to be wearing the trays, but I’m glad I stuck with it.
My treatment took about a year from start to finish. That time includes a slight pause for a few weeks because I had to re-scan my teeth and wait for a new round of trays to come in (since a few of my teeth were not playing nice with the process, but that is to be expected!). Regardless of that 'pause', the time flew by!
Technically, if I wanted to, I could have re-scanned my teeth one more time to fine tune even more. However, with Baby Bauer on the way, I decided that just was just not in the cards for me. :)
If a year sounds like a long time...don’t let the timeline deter you! (I've mentioned this in my previous posts here and here). Invisalign treatment looks different for everyone based on your specific needs. Some people may only need a few months to see the results, so it’s 100% worth getting the FREE consultation to at least find out more!
So, how does it work when you’re done with your treatment? Your attachments will be removed (Yay! This part made me very happy since I had a LOT of attachments as you may recall from my original post, ha!) and then it’s retainers and whitening time!
It’s super important to be diligent about wearing your retainers. Generally, you’ll wear your retainers for about 2 months up to 20 hours a day and then you’ll shift into wearing them at night only, but of course consult with Dr. Tikalsky for what’s specific to you and your treatment. The at-home whitening kit is super easy to use and allows you to whiten to your preference (which I liked!) using your retainers. Easy peasy!
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, this is a collaboration post and I did receive a discount for my treatment in exchange for this collaboration, but my opinions are completely my own. I’m am so, so happy with the results...and Dr. Tikalsy and the team at Dentists on Bluemound are absolutely amazing. So accommodating, informative and friendly!
See below for before and after pictures. The picture on the left was taken the day before I started my Invisalign treatment. The picture on the right is from last week after all my attachments were removed, a few of my chipped teeth were corrected and I was done with whitening. Checkout my reels and "Invisalign" highlights on my Instagram for more video content with before and afters, too!
If you’ve made it this far, I hope this gives you some perspective and answers any questions you might have had! If not, feel free to shoot me an email (jomariemke@gmail.com) or DM me on Instagram (@jomariemke).
Or, better yet, head to The Dentists on Bluemound’s page to book a free consultation to get ALL the details! (And mention my name for your 10% OFF treatment.)
Thanks for reading!
Best,
Josette
